We had organized 2 days of Leadership training in Kolkata on 19th and 20th November. This was a part of our ongoing decentralization and creating Business Unit hierarchy initiative. The training provider had conducted several workshops in Cap Gemini, HCL, IBM, Ixia, Lexmark, Tata and Wipro. They are renowned Behavioural/Business trainer and have quite extensive management and engineering background like IIT, IMT & ISWBM.

Role-plays and real-life Exercises

The modules and the learning methodologies are as follows :

  • Change Management: Every time one gets promoted one needs to not only acquire and use new skills but also let go of old ways of working. However, letting go of old ways of working often becomes a challenge

  • This is followed by a Group task
  • Performance Management: It is a process of ensuring sustained improvement in the performance of people in an organization
  • Followed by a Group task and Exercise.
  • People Management: A manager’s role in training, developing and motivating employees to perform their best. This role is distinct from other managerial roles, such as administration and decision making.
  • Followed by a Psychometric test and model of Motivation
  • Team Management: The ability of an individual or an organization to administer and coordinate a group of individuals to perform a task. Team management involves teamwork, communication, objective setting and performance appraisals.
  • Followed by Norm setting and Conflict management role play
